My name is Brigitte and my babies are Bambi & Rudolph. Bambi was a New Year's baby, born January 1, 2000. She is a tiny girl who is a bit shy but with a mind of her own. Rudolph was born September 17, 2000. He is extremely outgoing and a real lover. Bambi wants to give you kisses and Rudolph wants to sit on your lap. They are quite a pair! I've had Bambi since she was 12 weeks old and Rudolph from 11 months.

We live in Silver Spring, Maryland, and enjoy hiking around a local lake in pursuit of squirrels and chipmunks and much to my dismay, the occasional deer. We also do lure coursing, as Rudolph is extremely keen on the lure and is apparently determined to be the next lure coursing champion of the world. Bambi also has gotten in on the game, albeit a little later than normally expected of a whippet. Nevertheless, she has become a real maniac for coursing.

Rudolph also does obedience and has earned one leg toward his Companion Dog title, doing so at the 2003 Whippet Nationals in Chicago. I was very proud of my little boy.  Bambi is the "official spokeswhippet" for a company that creates emergency window decals. I am also quite proud of my little supermodel.

We are also very active in doggie causes. I am on the board of a non-profit group that manages and creates new dog parks in Montgomery County, Maryland.
