Bella & Rosie's Mom a.k.a. Karen Leoncelli
| Hi, I'm Karen and I live in Melbourne Australia with Hubby George and
our 2 whippet girls, Bella (blue) and Rosie (Brindle). Both came to us as
pups, Bella from a very nasty "pet shop", and Rosie from a
breeder of dubious quality, so I say we rescued them. Bella came first
(saw her, couldn't leave her there) and a week later we found Rosie. Since
they came to us, they have been a constant source of amusement. Visitors
to our house are always fascinated by them - as are other dog walkers, who
always stop and ask questions about them and the breed. Bella is a comfort
eater and is on a constant diet. Rosie loves tug-o-war with a rope. As far
as training goes, we've had no problem other than "come" when
there's a rabbit in the area. I've had plenty of other breeds over the
years, but these whippets have been the easiest to train by far. I am
finding the breed a bit of a mystery when it comes to vets - I find
bulletin boards like yours to be more informative and a better source of
info than any vet has been so far. I'm looking forward to talking with you
