My husband and I are the very proud owners of 2 whippets: Blondie (a brindle fawn female) and Devo (a black and white brindle male). We thought we were original in coming up with the name Devo, but apparantly it is quite common. We got them from HiTor Sighthounds just outside of Rochester, NY when they were 12 weeks. They were both born in July, 2002 but came from different litters. They are about as opposite as two dogs can be. Devo is very confident, playful, and dominant - he is Mr. Personality. Blondie is much more submissive, affectionate and VERY fast (she runs circles around Devo) - she is the little love. They get along great, except if Blondie has something Devo wants, and can't stand to be away from one another.

Puppies have been a lot of work but very rewarding....this board has been very helpful with many of our questions. They have definitely convinced us that we will never have human kids though. We will always be dog parents!
