Chelsea & Savannah's Mum a.k.a. Wendy Jones
| I am a transplanted
Canadian living in England, my husband Nick is from Liverpool. We adopted
a rescue whippet-cross puppy (12 weeks) in January of 1998 and named her
Chelsea. We had no idea what she had in her until a whippet breeder spoke
to us and said she must be 1/2 whippet. Once we read up on whippets and
recognized her personality we were so relieved LOL. We hadn't done
anything wrong - she was just a strong willed, individual (i.e. - a
whippet!) The more we read, and the older she got, the more hooked we
were. We had discussed getting either a whippet puppy or rescue as a
sister for Chelsea, but we lived in a small flat so no room for a second.
At the end of January 2001we moved, and as fortune had it, someone on my
whippet lists had a litter and offered us a pup at the same time. So we
from Scotland to the South Coast of England with Chelsea and our little
bundle Savannah (bdate 28 Nov 00) who's pedigree name is Aphrael
Aoife (pronounce EE-fah). We do agility with Chelsea and Savannah, and we
show Savannah in conformation. In August of 2004 we got our third
dog - another whippet out of Savvy's sister who we call Telyn or Teya
(pronounced TAY-lin or TAY-ah) and she's proving to be quite the handful
as well. Her registered name is Aprhrael Caoilfhionn
(pronounced KEE-lin) and she was born on my birthday 12 June 04).
