I am 21 years old, from Sydney Australia.

I fell in love with whippets many years ago when I got my first one, which was an ex-abuse case called Toy (A male).

We currently have 2 whippets, Lucy, 5 years old and Brandy 6 months old. (Both girls) Lucy is very shy while Brandy is much more outgoing. They love fighting with each other as well as cuddling up together (or with anything soft for that matter.)

They are both terribly spoilt, including being tucked into bed each night by my mother. Lucy has has been taken to the vet for stitches at least three times for running around the backyard like a lunatic and bashing into things. Brandy has so far proved a little more coordinated.

They are both scared of strangers, lawnmowers, vacuum cleaners and my dad's cheering when he watches the football. Incredibly, Lucy has in fact learned to associate the commentators voice with dad getting excited, and now runs out of the room when as soon as the game comes on!!

We call them "Whimpets."
