| I own a 13 year old whippet named Ana. She is in good health but is
going blind. It is not caused by aging but by too much time in the sun. I
have been told that hounds go blind sooner if they are in the sun a lot;
especially if they are on boats. We had a boat the first five years of
Ana's life and so she is now going blind. There are doggles which can be
purchased and the specialist I took her to showed me pictures of dogs with
doggles. So now she wears them when she is in the sun.
I would like to find out if someone out there knows of any vet anywhere who has operated on dogs with damaged irises and cornea problems. If you can help, please e-mail me since I want to give Ana back some of her sight. She is the only dog I have ever owned since I am very allergic to dogs but Ana is very clean and has no dander. Thank you from my heart. Email: jafpaw@aol.com |
