Hi all, my name is Shivaun. My husband and
I have one whippet, Luce (pronounced LU-chay), born June 2003. Her
registered name is Ragtime Danza Bella Luce, and she is a red brindle
parti-colour. We live just outside of Vancouver, BC. There are not a lot
of whippets around here, so we searched for over a year for her . During
that time I lived vicariously through all of you for whippet stories! It
was a long wait, but so worth it. We have had her since she was eight
weeks old and it has been quite the journey! She was the shy one in the
litter but we fell in love with her nonetheless. I'm not quite sure what
happened to that shy girl... now she is crazy, with the typical whippet
"excessive greeting disorder", and manages to win over
everyone she meets. Her breeder hopes to show her (if Luce will
stand still long enough in the ring!), and we plan to start her lure
coursing as soon as she is old enough. She is such a love and we
are thrilled to have her as a part of our family.
