Yesterday my boyfriend Darrell and I rented a car and drove from Vancouver to Olympia to meet Felicity, a very amazing woman who was caring for the whippet I'd be adopting. I am overwhelmed in my feelings for this dog. Her name was Jazzmin, but she didn't know her name. I call her Stellaluna-Phen. Stellaluna is the name of a children's story about a bat who was taken from her mother. Phen is an exceptional woman that I know and admire very much. It all translates into starmoon-phoenix-bat. Which suits her surprisingly well! We call her Luna for short. She seemed to know her Luna name right away. and she even wags her tail! She's already learning how to sit and she knows her new name. I'm so grateful to have her in my life. We are bonding and it's a very special experience...
