A little about Maisie - she is a smaller whippet, though I don't know if she is finished growing. She is a grey brindle with white legs (I call them her tube socks). She has the sweetest face and the biggest blue eyes that I fall victim to every time Maisie wants something. Maisie loves her daily walks, and loves visiting the big dogs at a cage free day care kennel on Fridays. Maisie loves her toys, I think she has more than I had as a child, and loves lounging next to me on the couch while we watch Sex and the City re-runs. Maisie pays particular attention to this show. Like mother like daughter.

I live in Los Angeles, and from the reactions I get from others (people stop in their cars to ask me if Maisie is a greyhound), I get the impression that whippets aren't the most popular breed here (LA'ers don't know what they are missing).
