| I became involved with whippets about 15+ years ago when
a friend suggested a whippet as an addition to my Dobermans and as a
running companion for them. So I obtained my first whippet which was
Surrey Hills and Whippoorwill and a year and 1/2 later a second from the
same breeder. I now have 10 that live with me. No longer have any
Dobermans, the last one died at the age of 11 last year. The whippets
race, lure course, do agility, obedience and conformation - not all do all
events, but most doing 2 or 3 of the events. There are 7 girls and 3 boys
here with me ranging in age from 10 months to 10 years. The two old timers
live with other people now and have for a number of years.
I live in Frederick, MD on about 4 acres with 2 other people who also have whippets as well as several other breeds of dogs. Email: shaldra@starpower.net |
