Shelbie (a.k.a. Tomar's Jet City Woman C.G.C. T.D.I., Tubba, daddy's girl) is an 8 year old fawn brindle (turning silver), spayed female. Our first Whippet and the apple of our eyes! Soft, quiet, sensitive, very obedient and oh, so cuddly- she absolutely adores people! Always the lady, she makes friends wherever she goes. She's the queen bee!

Shane (a.k.a. Andauer's Ride The Lightning, momma's boy, Hey! Get over here!) is a 2 year old black brindle and white, neutered male. Goofy, impatient, whiney, spooky and a watersprite- he loves any toy that squeaks and chasing anything that moves! He's madly in love with tennis balls and is currently having an affair with Frisbees. He's our court jester!

We got Shelbie when she was 8 weeks old (after 7 years of research). She stole our hearts with those big, liquid eyes! She graduated first in each of her obedience classes: Puppy-K, Basic, Advance and Polishing. Got her T.D.I. after basic and her C.G.C. on her first try. We started for her C.D., also agility and running the lure. Then she broke the end of her tail chasing a ball and it had to be amputated. She seemed to have lost some of her balance (and confidence) after that and not wanting her to get hurt again, we stopped. She continues to take part in Fun Runs for charity with me (and Shane, too), going on our daily 5 mile walk/runs and being a hot water bottle for others.

Shane came into our sedate lives as a bouncing 10 week old. Evil as a puppy (got into everything) but too cute to scold, he grew up to be the opposite of Shelbie. He, too, took first in his obedeince classes: Puppy-K, Basic 1 & 2. He'll soon try agility and maybe flyball as he's big mouth for a tennis ball. I wish he could lure course (his daddy is a FCH), as he LOVES the lure. But he grew too tall and, alas cannot compete.
