Tink and Lego's Mom a.k.a. Alicia Cesario

I am the proud owner of two whippies. It has kind of hit me by storm, the love for this very unique breed. My hubby was a tried and true kitty fan until he met a whippie in the park approximately a year before our first whippet. He loved the looks (of course!) and the manner and the fact that they are couch potatoes. We talked and talked about getting one and he finally started looking for one for me at Christmas. We found a litter somewhat nearby and brought Lego home at 10-1/2 weeks (red collared one in picture). We fell immediately in love with him and his jubilant behavior. He is unafraid of everything and such a mamma's boy. Two months went by and we knew we would get another eventually and thought to ask the breeder about one of the littermates of Lego and found that one of his sisters was available. We drove down the next day and picked up Tink (hubby thinks it is Tinker bell, but it is really Tinker Toys). She is the purple collared one in the pictures. She is afraid of everything and I am really glad to have her brother around to bring her out of her shell. We have only had her a few weeks and she is just fitting in really well. I watch them sleep sometimes, all rolled up and folded on one another, and it brings tears to my eyes just thinking that I'm loved by these two whippies and I how much I love them both back. I also have an Australian shepherd, who has really come alive since the new blood in the house, three cats, cockatiel, and saltwater fish tank. I also have two boys, 14 and 11. We live in central California, about 1-1/2 blocks from the beach which all the dogs really love. This site has really helped encouraged me through a few hard times in the beginning weeks of new mommy hood and I'm sure will really help me in the future. Thanks for allowing me to "meet" you all.
