Wizard's mom a.k.a. Amy
| Sawsee's Dream Wizard (Wizard) became part of our family in May of 2002
when he was 6 months old. We brought him from Iowa to Minnesota where we
lived at the time. We now reside in Appleton, Wisconsin. He was so timid
and shy when we first brought him home I thought he had been abused but
after learning more about whippets figured this to just be his personality
and being in a new home. I had to carry him a block from the house before
he would walk because he didn't want to leave his safe haven of home. He
has become the best dog and we love him dearly. We have two people
children (7 and 3) and Wizard and the kids get along marvelously. Wizard
is like most whippets, loves to sleep, as a matter of fact it is almost
11:00 and he is not yet out of bed (our bed of course!). He has those
"what, me?" whippet eyes and is a fawn brindle with a black mask
that has turned grey already. His favorite activities are basking in the
warm summer sun, walks, trips to the dog park and snuggling. His least
favorite activity would include being around other dogs he doesn't know
(big whippet baby), getting his nails trimmed and of course, going outside
in the cold winter to pee pee.
