I first fell into a state of whippet envy when I met a friend of mine's Whippet Remy. Remy was so cute, playful and just over all adorable, i said "If you ever find another one of these.... Let me know"

I didn't have to wait too long... He called and said he was going to look at an abandoned whippet this weekend, and if i thought i was interested, i should go look BEFORE he did....

Well, off I went.  I found a quiet dog that ignored me, and seemed obsessed with food.  Well I still had to have her...  Alexis became a quiet dog that was obsessed with me and food. She was a mix between  a Ethiopian Food Whore(EFW)  and an Alaskan Snuggle-Monster(ASM) But she was also all whippet.  But she was the sweetest dog I have ever had.  She recently started to lose weight, and after a frustrating ordeal, I found she had cancer.  She became steadily worse, and I put her to sleep.  I found this board, and thought it seems like a neat place to talk about the quiet family members.  I just got a whippet puppy (whuppy?) named Cooper.  He is starting to feel at home....  I have had home for a week and it has been a LONG time since i have had a puppy....  He looks like he will be a giant! he has huge paws.
