Betsy a.k.a. Betsy in CT
| Hi everyone! My name is Betsy, I'm a busy stay at home mom with a 6 year
old daughter, a 2 year old son and a 5 month old Whippet named Princess. My
husband and I have wanted a whippet for about 7 years after seeing one at
a fair and talked with the owner for quite a while. The more we learned, the
more we fell in love. But as many of you know it's not easy finding
Whippet puppies, especially in the north. Well, about 2 1/2 months ago we
were visiting all the area shelters and couldn't find any dogs that were
good with young children. So, we bought a newspaper and low and behold, there
was the cutest picture of a Whippet puppy. We couldn't resist. About 2
hours later we were the proud parents of Princess, a beautiful fawn brindle. She
has exceeded all of our expectations, she is the best puppy I've ever
seen. The kids love her and everywhere we go we answer plenty of questions. I've
learned so much on this board alone. Everyday I check in to see what else
